If you cannot meet with Elaine Turley at her Ronkonkoma, Long Island or Forest Hills, Queens office because of a disability or other limitation, Ms. Turley will visit you at your home or the nursing facility in which you currently reside.
Before Ms. Turley recommends a plan or begins representing your interests, you will have a consultation with the attorney. Together, we will identify the people in your life who will play a role in preparing your Life and Estate plan. We will identify all of your assets and how they fit into your plan for your future. Elaine will examine any planning documents you currently have in place such as your Last Will and Testament,Trust, Power of Attorney and Health Care Proxy.
Have the following available at our consultation:
Most current statement of bank accounts; retirement accounts;
Stock, bond and securities account information
U.S. Treasuries - copies of bonds
Deed to home owned and other real property owned
Current planning documents such as Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney
Names, addresses and phone numbers of people in close relation (family)
Nursing home information if applicable
If your consultation involves a loved one who may be in need of a Guardian, we will discuss the physical or cognitive limitations which make a Guardian necessary, as well as the plans the person has made in advance for incapacity.
If your consultation is for a Probate or Administration proceeding, we will discuss family relationships and assets of the decedent as well as the documents the decedent executed to pass his or her property and will need to review the Last Will and Testament and/or Trusts executed by the decedent.
